Range Rules

Shooting basics:

1. Keep the muzzle pointed down range at all times.

2. Keep your finger off the trigger except when shooting.

3. Keep the action open and the firearm unloaded, except when shooting. This is a COLD RANGE which means your gun is loaded at the firing line only. No loading or unloading at the back benches.

4. When leaving the firing line temporarily, lay the unloaded firearm on the firing line shelf with the action open and the muzzle pointing down range . All equipment is left at the owners risk.

5. Loaded firearms are not permitted to be handed from one person to another. Do not change lanes with a loaded firearm.

6. No one is allowed forward of the firing line!!!!! Crossing the firing line will set off the alarms. If the alarm sounds- STOP FIRING IMMEDIATELY- and wait until line is cleared.

7. Only firing at your target is permitted. No rapid firing, no quick draw, no hip shooting, and no fanning the hammer.

8. Do not take a jammed or malfunctioning firearm out of the port. Lay it on the tray, muzzle pointing down range and go to the front desk for help. Failure to do so will result in automatic expulsion.

When finished shooting:

9. When you are finished shooting, keep the action open and the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and place the firearm in a case, shooting bag or holster.

10. Clean up your area- sweep up your brass and place it in the brass bucket and dispose of all other trash in the proper containers.
